CareerBoss Terms of Use

Last updated: October 17, 2026 These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Jeff Adcock, LLC, a Utah limited liability company doing business as CareerBoss ("CareerBoss," "we," "us"). They govern your use of careerboss.ai, the free MostFinder tool, and the paid Career Lens product (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. 1. Who can use the Service You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for keeping your account password confidential and for activity under your account. 2. What the Service is — and is not MostFinder helps you name and rank what matters most to you in your work. Career Lens is a guided exercise that turns your priorities into a personal decision framework and lets you review job offers against it. The Service is an educational, self-guided tool. It is not legal, financial, tax, employment, medical, or mental-health advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. You alone decide whether to accept, decline, or negotiate any job offer, and you are responsible for that decision. 3. AI-assisted features Some features use artificial-intelligence services to clarify your wording, summarize your answers, and generate offer reviews. AI output can be incomplete or wrong. Review it critically and do not rely on it as the sole basis for any decision. See our Privacy Policy for how your inputs are processed. 4. Free and paid features MostFinder is free. Career Lens costs $47 USD as a one-time purchase and includes one saved Career Lens and five offer reviews. There is no subscription and no recurring charge. Prices may change in the future, but a change will not affect a purchase you have already made. 5. Payments Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not receive or store your full card number. Your payment is also subject to Stripe's terms and privacy policy. You authorize us (through Stripe) to charge the price shown at checkout, plus any applicable taxes. 6. Refunds You may request a full refund within 30 days of purchase, as described in our Refund Policy (careerboss.ai/refund), which is part of these Terms. 7. Your content You keep ownership of what you type into the Service (your values, answers, offer details, and results). You give us a limited license to store, process, and display that content only to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service for you. Do not enter other people's confidential information, trade secrets, or anything you are not allowed to share. 8. Our content The Service, including the MostFinder and Career Lens methods, text, design, and software, is owned by Jeff Adcock, LLC and protected by intellectual-property laws. MOSTFINDER is a trademark of Jeff Adcock, LLC. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the Service and your own results for your personal, non-commercial use. You may share your own results. You may not copy, resell, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service, or use it to build a competing product. 9. Acceptable use Do not misuse the Service: no unlawful use, no attempts to access other users' data, no interference with security or performance, no automated bulk access, and no abusive content in support requests. 10. Availability and changes We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service. We will try to keep your saved Career Lens accessible; if we discontinue Career Lens, we will give reasonable notice and a way to get a copy of your saved results. You can request a copy at any time by emailing jeff@careerboss.ai from the email address on your account, and we will send it to you by email within 30 days. 11. Disclaimers The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee any career, job, salary, or other outcome. 12. Limitation of liability To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jeff Adcock, LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, wages, or opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (for most users, $47 or $0). 13. Termination You may stop using the Service at any time and may ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end access if you violate these Terms. 14. Governing law, informal resolution, and venue These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to email jeff@careerboss.ai describing the issue and give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally, and we agree to do the same before filing a claim against you. If it isn't resolved, any dispute will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in Utah County, Utah, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. 15. Changes to these Terms We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify account holders by email.
